Adding pictures (image files)

When you add an image file to Family Photo Buddy (FPB) it stores a complete copy of your original file. Once it has been added to FPB, there is no linkage to the original file or its location.

There are several ways to add your image files to FPB. The easiest way is to use drag and drop:
1) select one or more image files in Windows Explorer (or other program)
2) with your mouse, drag the selected files over the picture list in FPB
3) drop the selected image files

You can also click the Open File button to add a new image file. If you are already editing a picture it will be updated.

Click the Scan button (or click Scan... on the Scan menu) to add a picture directly using your scanner.

You can always get your original image file back by selecting it in the picture list, dragging it out of FPB with your mouse, and dropping it somewhere like into a folder in Windows Explorer.
